My Sessions

My Therapy Room is based in Brundall, a short drive from Norwich. We are easy to find, and there is dedicated parking available.

Your initial treatment will start with a thorough consultation looking into your medical history and all other aspects of your lifestyle.

The consultation ensures that the treatment is suitable for you and that the benefits of your treatment will continue to be felt after the treatment is over.

Together we will identify areas in which positive change may be made.

A Treatment Plan will be individually tailored for you. This may focus on a specific problem, reducing stress, or simply relaxation.

Your Questions

What Happens When I Go For A Treatment ?

A full medical history will be requested on your first treatment, and you will be asked to sign a consent form for treatment. This information will be kept confidential. Reflexology is a very easy therapy to receive; depending on the type of reflexology, the most clothing that will have to be removed for a treatment to take place will be your socks and shoes.

I will use my hands to apply pressure to your feet, lower leg or hands,  depending on the type of reflexology chosen. You may feel areas of transient discomfort during the treatment, but generally the experience should be relaxing.

I may recommend a course of treatments.

What Should I Bring / What Should I Wear ?

Reflexology is a very easy therapy to receive; depending on the type of reflexology, the most clothing that will have to be removed for a treatment to take place will be your socks and shoes.

What Happens During The Treatment ?

I will examine your feet before commencing with the precise massage movement. The particular type of massage involved requires the application of a firm pressure using the side and end of the thumb. In some instances, the fingers may also be used. All areas on both feet will be massaged.

How Does It Feel To Receive The Treatment ? Is It Uncomfortable ?

Reflexology does not feel ticklish and the pressure can be firm or light depending on the reflexes covered and age of the client.

Areas corresponding to parts of the body which are out of balance will feel uncomfortable or tender when massaged and the degree of tenderness will indicate the degree of imbalance. The sensitivity of the feet varies from person to person and the trained practitioner will understand the correct pressure to apply and how to interpret the tendernesses felt. The massage should not be very uncomfortable to even the most sensitive of feet.

How Long Does It Last / Will I Need Further Treatments ?

The full treatment session will last approximately three-quarters of an hour and at the end of a session the feet should feel warm and the client relaxed.

The number of treatment sessions required will vary depending on the condition being treated.

Following treatment, it is sometimes possible that the eliminating systems of the body become more active in order to rid the body of unwanted toxic matter.

Should I Consult With My GP ?
