The Meridian Way

In September 2016 I completed a course: Reflexology Plus The Meridian Way with the amazing Louise Exeter.
We looked at the 5 Elements* and how they form the foundations of TCM meridian acupressure work. Meridians*, the same as reflexology points are associated with internal organs. Through gentle techniques & light pressure movements we can help identify blockages or sensitivities & over time improve the flow of energy to bring about harmony and balance within.

beach2Such a fascinating subject that looks at how the physical & emotional are inseparable and how each of our organs are either Yin (emotional & spiritual) or Yang (physical & Mental)

I am continuing to study the subject but have already started to incorporate it into my reflexology practice.

*Meridians are associated with internal; organs, the movement of ‘Chi’, the Yin-Yang theory and with TCM 5 Elements philosophy. They are inter-connecting channels and pathways running all over the body, they flow, emerging near the surface of the skin for access via the Acu-Points system that are numbered and specifically located along the meridians.

*The 5 – Elements represents an additional aid to diagnosing subtle energy & wellness imbalances.
